All Dolled Up

We are offically finished our website. We really enjoyed making it. we love our site it's informative funky and fun. It gave us time out in class to explore web and it was fun to be proactive.

Just putting the finishing touchs to our project, and hopefully we will have it handed up by 11am today as it is due at 12! We need to hand up a usb key to the lecturer with our completed project on it so he can copy it!

Today during class we asked our lecturer what he taught of our website and he gave us some constructive criticism on what we should change, we decided to make these changes to ensure a good mark. One of the changes he Told us to change was to make the writing more eye catching,more interessting to read. So tonight i am goin to write out paragraphs to try and bring up the mark. We,re hoping that by the end of the week we will have the project done and dusted.

Today we added in more images and published it on to the web to see what changes need to be made. Our website has to be completed by next tuesday as that is the closing date. We have also finished it, just have to complete the celeb look page and it is ready to be submitted.

Colin thought our website was good and published it on the web to see how it would look. The only changes he said to make was change the page navigation keys so the page ur on is highlighted and also to make sure the navigatin keys were in the same place on each page. all that is left is to upload the images and do final changes

after completing the template for the web we collected our images and Tris wrote out the written content. We inserted all the images on the first page and second pages and did a lay out for the rest of the pages. All thats left is to insert the rest of the images and decide on the final page. Then we have to make the final changes to the website and it will be completed.

I went through all the pages of the website deleted unnesseary pages tried to create aa uniform design on each page as in the look of it was the same i added in the dresses images and descriptions on the first page which spaned 2 pages in total i layed out shoes and bags to it will be easy to navigate through them tris and karina are looking up images to add into these pages and descriptions of them we are working on thefinal 2 pages celeb look and tips and tris has made out a few points on these pages. We also have to come up with a suitable intro to the site

I rearranged the website on the computer ensuring each page was the same. We had a number of extra pages which I deleted and full steam ahead with the lay out of the website all we need now is images and descriptions a full intro and our tips and that is the main part of the website done.

Tonight I am going to type up all the written content that we intend to input into our web pages. Hopefully it won't take to long or take up to much space as we intend on having or site very visually based. Today during our second web class we looked up other sites that contain fashion information so that we can get ideas on prices and styles that are in season. Tomorrow we plan to do a good few hours on the web site tomorrow and hopefully get three pages fully done.

We talked to our lecturer yesterday about our site map and he thought it was a good site map, only for our page 6 heading which was "as seen in" he thought it would be better to change this heading to "as seen on or worn by". We have decided to change it to "Celeb look". We also had an idea to put some of profits towards charity but lecturer said it was irrelevant. We then though about putting google ads on our page and putting profits made from that to our chosen charity but this would of given people an incentive to click on the ads which was not allowed by google ads. As a result of this our ads would be cancelled, so we've chosen to leave the charity out. We also changed our blog name from "The Girls to All Dolled up" just like our website is called.

We feel that because our site targets females, we would like to have a percentage of sales going towards the breast cancer

We had decided on the name LBD in the last meeting but we decided after thinking about it ALL DOLLED UP would suit our site better

we drew out a rough sketch of how we would like our site to look and we showed it to Colin in one of our earlier classes. He thought that we sholud leave out one part which was in the dresses page. We wanted to put three dresses on the page and have 3 more roll in when we pressed the arrow but this was too complicated to do in such a short space of time

But everything else was ok ...We have a draft of the website on ppaper if anyone would like to see it :)

As this was our first meeting we did not have any previous items for discusion.

Main body

We had our first proper meeting today to discuss any ideas for our website. We dicussed possible ideas What kind of lay out to have, what colours to use and what not to useand the content that we think might go into it.

Our main idea for our website was to focus on fashion. We discusses differnt titles, layouts and colours. We came up with names such as Xpose+, all dolled up, doll yourself up, dress up , LBD.....We decide to go with..... LBD (Little Black Dress). WE also thought that a plain white back ground would be suited but that is to be confirmed. We discussed what we would like the layout to look like and what would go on different pages.
